Just wondering if there is such a thing as this, as a last ditch effort?

I had 2 good 5-10 min sessions, and in my not so smart thoughts, tried to let them both in the living room at the same time. That ended with them fighting, one cried/whined/squeaked, but no one else heard it over my screaming. I ended up in tears. I know I should keep trying, but I feel like I'm traumatizing them. I also know I CANNOT handle the fighting, it seems like they want to kill each other.

The other problem is, right now, its not being done every day. I am scared shitless to try on my own, so its only when the fiance is over, which is about 3 maybe 4 times a week.
