why does my rabbit not chew anything but his food?

If it doesn’t smell good he won’t eat it either. I bought him an oxbow like play stand, could care less about it. Chew toys ? Could also care less. He only chews on his pellets his veggies and his hay. I just rescued him. He likes to dig tho. I rabbit proofed my room which honestly now feels like a waste of time because he doesn’t care about anything but food and me.
