I've recently made the switch to JSONRegistry for keeping a resume. Have a look here!
I have several reasons for this:
Ease of updating: I can use basic markdown and push changes to the registry using a CLI tool.
Centralization: Having to manage multiple copies of the same information, on numerous different websites, simply rubs me the wrong way.
Version control: Since my resume is basically just a plain text file now, it lends itself well to version control.
No vendor lock-in: Again, my resume is just a text file stored on my computer now. That means I don't have to worry about my resume host going broke or having my private information exposed.
