drive shaft noise?

So i just bought a 2007 RX-8 it now has 53k miles on it and ive only had it for a few days. i have done some searching on rx8club and i still have a questions.
some times starting acceleration it makes a metal "crinkle" noise like something is not quite together. Can't tell if it is from tranny or drive shaft or even the diff. sometimes it makes the same noises when downshifting or not even in gear (tapping the accelerator) which kinda makes me think its the drive shaft.
