Post Body

hey guys long time listener first time caller here.

bought a fc project a few months back. previous owner had started tearing it apart and got the motor rebuilt and street ported by rotary doctor and i got lucky and just had to put it all back together:). so she’s running now and ran good for a few weeks but one day she broke down on me on the side of the road and wouldn’t stay running. long story short the fuel filter was clogged, new inline filter in and she started up after a few cranks. but ever since then i’ve had a very rough idle and almost no power at low rpm’s, backfires a lot. around 3500-4000 the car runs a lot better and throws me back into my seat i’m assuming this is where the secondary injectors and ports open (s4 btw). i pulled the primary injectors today and changed the o rings and the lil filters at the top which looked clean but afterwards it made almost no difference. i’m not sure where to go from here.

i’ve smoke tested from the intake where the maf is and have no leaks.

compression tested with a piston compression with no shearer and get 3 consistent 30ish pulses.

have tested/adjusted the tps. spark plugs look good and wires are new.

car also runs a little warm but i think the radiator is clogged not sure if it would be related.

also there is an occasional puff on startup which is new but i think it might be from the seafoam i just put in the tank.

again any help would be very appreciative.

if anyone could point me in a direction, i don’t want to just fire the parts cannon.
