For me.
EP3: 5/10 Cool introduction of the Grimm but had a badly rushed second half that erased the best fight of the volume and arguably the series. At least Penny was great
EP2: 7.5/10, The lacking fight choreography didn’t stop me from loving the character interactions, and what they did with Jaune was excellent, he’s also a major plus for Episode 3. Cutting out the bad comedy was great.
EP1: 8/10, Blake’s section is the only part that lacked due to the meh fight choreography and cutting of the Spider Tank. Weiss’s fight may not have been as well choreographed but the story context they added made up for it, and basically everything else about the episode was great. I loved Adam letting her leave to see the real world, I loved basically every interaction, Ruby’s fight was perfect barring the jank with the airship and I LOVED seeing this Yang back. I remembered why I loved her and the rest of the cast in older volumes, and here they are doing these older characters better.
Thoughts gents?
