So there was this guy who made fighting animations on YouTube and this company that made a halo series came to him and was like: “hey homie, you wanna make a fighting animated series… but with your own characters?” And he did. So this really talented guy made some character profiles and made some fight scenes, these fight scenes were really cool. A writing team then wrote some story with the first guy’s help and the character profiles to go between the fights to make a tv show. It was pretty good for a web series, maybe not quite the quality of a full tv show but it had promise and if it continued for like 5-6 more seasons it would be great.

Well the first guy died. Instead of the writers doing the in between bits going “let’s be respectful and stop here” they instead went “let’s give it a go and carry it on in his memory.” It was ok… not as good as the original stuff but it was Aight. It was a bit like how you have the lord of the rings and then his son wrote the silmarillon using scraps of leftover writings after Tolkien died, it was ok but a bit worse than what we had before.

Then the third impact happened. That writing team was not very happy anymore as the company they worked for were kinda shitty. They all up and left and the company got a new team of people in. Now this team has no clue what they were doing as they were essentially now working off of made up shit based of the made up shit the first guy made. At the same time a loud, horny, minority of fans started sending death threats as all reasonable fans do to make two characters smash who had barely interacted before but they wrote a bunch of fan fiction which made it seem cool.

These new writers dropped like 2 seasons of character development and murdered multiple character arcs to make these two characters not talk their way into fucking. These writers then half heartedly continued on with little to no effort trying to make as much money as possible. What we had now was essentially rings of power which is a far fucking cry from lord of the rings. Shit went from transformers prime to age of extinction pretty quick.

So all in all have fun with the first 3 seasons just don’t watch after they kill the big mech and go to the snowy place as it would be more fun to take a corkscrew to thine urethra.
