Are you on a "scale" job?
Post Body

There's going to be more and more of those popping up around the area, thanks to some legislation passed a couple of years ago, which was heavily backed by organized labor.

If you're an electrical worker, in the Richmond Virginia area, constructing a non-residential building, or a residential building over 4 stories, the "scale" you are due on a scale job is IBEW Local 666's scale. You're welcome.

So, for a Journeyman, that's a total package of $49.77 an hour right now.

There are only 2 classifications of electrical workers on "scale" jobs. Journeymen and Apprentices.

If you are not actually attending school in a registered apprenticeship, whether or not you have a state card, no matter how much experience you have, you are a Journeyman on a "scale" job.

Any state project with a total cost of over $250,000 which was let out for bid after May 1st, 2021, (unfortunately excluding some higher-ed work) should be a "scale" job.

There are also jobs which don't appear to be state jobs, but have state money in them, which qualify.

There should be a poster in a conspicuous location on your jobsite explaining all this.

If you are an electrical worker in the Richmond area, and you're not getting the wages and benefits you are due on a "scale" job, I can help you with that.
