In the system I'm working on, I currently have two broad levels of armor. This is a very narrative-first system, so there's not a ton of specificity to the armor, but I feel like there needs to be a middle ground to what I have. I'd love some feedback.
I have now Light armor and Heavy armor. Light consists of things like padded, leather, and hide. Heavy is chain and plate. I feel like there's a Medium armor that I'm missing, and I'm wondering if banded, scale, or other armor types might fit in the middle ground to suit my purposes.
Thinking out loud, I am more looking for examples of armors that might fit in that middle category to see if there are enough to warrant a new level.
