Description
The system is a hack of GUMSHOE, re-purposed for a fantasy "pulp" setting, mixed with elements of the Lore System (which I made), in theory to be coupled with the Rational Magic setting (which I made) of dystopian fantasy.
This document is 4 pages, first page being a character sheet.EDIT: character sheet is for beginning players; as the character advances they would need a more open sheet. This one tries to lay out all the options on the sheet.
The main innovations to GUMSHOE are:
Make meta-currency more about creating cool effects rather than spending to buy success.
Give “mechanical weight” to the player character’s background (via Lore System splice)
Create dramatic shifts in tension based on who is rolling the dice.
edit: 4. While making this I had another goal of lesser importance but should also be mentioned: I'm trying to make this hack so that if I put it in the product but GUMSHOE fans don't like this hack, the stat blocks and ability descriptions in the scenarios would be close enough that they could play it with just the out-of-the-SRD version of GUMSHOE.
Purpose
Thinking about putting out a commercial product of my setting (which has been Kickstarted and close to fulfillment) with a system related to GUMSHOE, in order to appeal to GUMSHOE fans and also do something different.
Game's Target Audience
People who like GUMSHOE but would like a little more combat "meat". Hmm... that means players who like rules-lite games, investigation games, games that give player narative control, but are cool with the GM designing a story arch.

How clear are these rules so far?
