Did ASUS hide a poorly acoustically designed microphone behind their AI Sound Cancellation Software, or did I get a bad unit?

Post Body

Title basically says it all. When turning off the AI Sound Cancellation Software, the microphone is borderline unlistenable. I get loads of static coming through from what I imagine is the internals being played back through the mic, and it just plainly sounds awful. My friends can't even bare the sound in discord unelss I turn on Krisp sound cancellation. And when listening back to the microphone through the Windwos listen feature with the cancellation off, it sounds awful.

Have any of you also had this experience with the microphone?
