DOS Heroes of might and magic 2 - Help!

Have been trying every which way to get it to work on here.
Their seems to be a way to make it run by properly creating a zip folder with the game and dos.confi file but I seem to be getting this wrong somehow.
Does anyone know a guide to get this game working?
Update: I’ve got it working! But the game runs terribly slow and the music lags quite a bit.
- I used my copy of Homm2 from GOG and ran it through dosbox
- Run install and set the audio to no midi and use sound blaster
- Compress the game folder to .zip and put it in your folder and that’s it!
Any tips on performance enhancement? Overclocking doesn’t help.
