SegaCD not working from ROMS Folder

Hey everyone!
SegaCD seems to not be running from the roms folder for some reason.
I did get it working by going into RetroArch
Load content/Favorites/Snatcher
Set core Association- Sega Pico drive
It runs great, but the core association will not remain when I try to go directly to my SEGA CD ROMS folder.
Is there a workaround here or way to make Sega Cd save the core preference?
