What's your opinion on the first chair gtx jacket?

Looking for a new jacket this year and the 20% off brings the first chair to 250ish,. I was looking at the Patagonia storm shift jacket to go with my Strom shift pants but it seems that isn't available anymore and even if it was it would be almost double the first chair on price.
I do about 80% on piste, 20% uphill in the resort with maybe one trip a year to full backcountry.
