What did you guys do with Buell?

Second playthrough and I only just finished the veteran storyline for the first time. It broke my heart obviously and of course I honored his request to take his horse.
I’m sure it would have been really fitting to take his horse and use it until the end of the story which would have provided some closure and an emotional moment when it dies in the end. :(
But…I already had a fully bonded Arabian which I wasn’t looking to get rid of. So I rode him to the nearest stable and left him there begrudgingly. Idk, what did you guys do?
