This might be a hot take but i don’t see the appeal in rdr1 after playing 2.
In my opinion rdr2 is the greatest game ever made and i’ve played through it multiple times, even platinuming it. I never played rdr1 before however, so I recently started playing it.
Obviously i know it’s from 2010 and not going to be as detailed and up to date as rdr2, but even going in with less expectations, i find myself kinda bored with it. I’m at the part where John meets Reyes for the first time in mexico, but I feel like I have to force myself to continue playing because i’m just uninterested in it.
It feels like John is doing all these odd jobs for all these side characters that don’t really even get much character development, all to find Bill and Javier who I have barely seen any of at all throughout the entire game.
I wasn’t even expecting Bill and Javier to be a huge part of the story. I was expecting to see them but I was hoping for more when it came to other characters. It feels like John meets characters, does a couple missions and then they’re gone for the most part.
Im gonna continue it and finish it out but I feel like I was expecting more, even with lowered expectations.
