I just realized on my 3rd play through that the random encounter in Strawberry to help the boy find his lost dog is the same house where Micah killed the man and woman to get his guns back during the jailbreak mission. When you bring the dog back to the boy he says “Thanks mister, shes all I got left.” This game still amazes me.
