Micro Coil Help: Only the center of the coil is glowing.

Hey guys. Just started winding microcoils on my provari/ERA clone. It's been good, but when I dry burn it only the center of the coil glows, the wraps near the posts don't seem to be heating evenly with the rest of the coils. I've tried tightening and loosening the post screws and fiddling with the wraps (nudging them around) but still haven't been able to get a nice, even glow. Any suggestions?
