Post Body

Basically, I struggle to write thank you posts, and that keeps me from participating:

  1. I'm active in the subreddit, claiming, offering, and exchanging
  2. I receive a card, but it's just one, I'll wait until I have three to make a Thank You post
  3. I get more mail, I don't know what to write in the thank you post, and get overwhelmed
  4. The mail keeps piling up, and I start to be ashamed. I can't really make a thank you post for a card I received months ago, can I?
  5. Because I can't manage to post a Thank You, it feels wrong to participate
  6. The shame gets too much, and I wanna participate again, so I post my Thank Yous, but it's a massive chore
  7. Repeat

I feel majorly vulnerable posting this, so please be nice. Does anyone else experience this? Do you have ideas or strategies to deal with it?

Edit: Thank you all for your responses! It feels very reassuring to know I'm not alone. I think I will try to do monthly posts and write my thank you notes as I get/open the cards. For my current backlog, I think I'll do a post without any notes, and maybe point it to this post for an explanation.
