Old cards... what do I do?

I need to find a space efficient way to have cards sent to me. I love them when they are sent and many of the messages are nice to read when I have the time. But a lot of them are just sitting in a box or a drawer. I'm considering taking the ones that aren't on display or don't have important messages or meanings and cutting them into shapes or strips to use on other projects. Maybe making a collage of pieces. Idk. What's everyone doing with old cards? They can't live in a box forever. No really they can't.
