So, to recap what my husband has done so far: first he asked me for one of my handmade Christmas cards (which I only made a few of due to health issues) to use as a gift for ME. Then he doubled down and used my most expensive and limited Christmas Mickey Mouse washi tape to seal the envelope.
First off - let me tell y’all what was in the envelope. It sadly was not a gift card to a craft store but Instead was a gift card to the gas station ⛽️🚗. 😂 I guess that’s okay - then I don’t have to use my own cash to fill up my car. Also, he did not actually write on the card so I can send it to someone next year 😋 (which begs the question why he didn’t just ask for an envelope)
But then....then we get to opening presents on Christmas Eve. Hold on to your hats kids.....
So, he goes and gets something and puts down two envelope looking packages next to me. I look closer and slowly realize it is not wrapping paper he used 😯.......
y’all....a few months ago I had a baseball wager with my dear friend u/welshfancy which they lost. In the box of crafting supplies they sent me to settle our wager was some beautiful and EXPENSIVE hand made fabric/paper. Yes, that is indeed what he used. 😲😲😲 To make matters worse he stapled the shit out of each package - including right in the middle where the cash was (he said it was so I couldn’t shake it) so the paper is not even remotely salvageable. 🤦🏻♀️
On the plus side, each envelope/package included cash and a note that it was to be used for either crafting supplies or at the casino (when we can eventually go again) so I kept my mouth shut about the paper.
But really....why oh why does he always go for my best crafting supplies??? 🤷🏻♀️
