Hi everyone,
I recently bought a pack of postcards to send to the community, and it got me thinking about a postage question.
You see, when I got home I realized that the cards I bought are actually just a bit bigger than the ones I usually receive or send out. The size of the cards I have are 5 in. x 7 in., so I’m wondering if I can still send them out with a simple ‘postcard’ stamp. I’m worried that if I do so, USPS will ask the receiver to pay extra postage. Is my postcard perhaps considered letter size?
I know that postcard postage is $0.35 and for a letter you can use the $0.55 forever stamp. If I have to pay extra, do I have to go out and buy the $0.55 stamps, or can I still use the postcard stamp and add some extra cents postage (like the ones with fruits that are $0.03 and so on)?
Extra question: If I’m sending this postcard abroad, can I just use a global stamp?
(Thank you so much for taking your time to read this and answer the question. Sorry if the answer is obvious.)
