What to do if you don’t get a thank you? Do you wonder if the card got lost?
Post Body

So, in the past few months I’ve jumped into RAOC with both feet and it is so much fun! I’ve tried to make more offers/exchanges than offers I’ve responded to and I try to always post a thank you (I get it wrong half the time but everyone is so nice to fix mistakes)

Anyway, I’ve sent out so many cards that I’ve started keeping an excel spreadsheet of who I’ve send to and who’ve I’ve received from and if I sent a thank you or got one. I’ve noticed on a few occasions that some users who seem to be good at posting thank yous have not given me any. It makes me worried my card never arrived. So far I’ve only had one card returned for a bad address and once I matched up the user to the address and figured out the problem I then sent them a PM just telling them what happened and I was sending a replacement card for the latest holiday. (Again a pretty active user and no reply)

Now, maybe it is my somewhat off putting user id (this wasn’t originally my main account) but does anyone else notice they don’t seem to consistently get thanked and if so do you ever PM the person to see if your card arrived?

I’ve started being more selective in what requests I respond to (limiting responding mostly to active people who also post thank yous) and prefer exchanges instead and now that I read the post about scammers I sure hope all of this doesn’t put a damper on my enthusiasm for my newfound love of this sub.

Thanks for any thoughts or advice you more experienced folks might have!
