For context: I received an envelope from u/midnightmems that has been opened by someone before, and not in a subtle way. It was cut along the upper edge of the envelope and then closed - not even taped shut, just closed with a little bit of tape in the middle. If there was anything in the envelope smaller than a card (for example, a bookmark, tea packet or stickers - all commonly exchanged by RAoCers) it would likely fall out and get lost. See my MS Paint artistry for details.
I know international mail can be opened officially, but I assumed it would look somehow, well, official. I'd expect an "opened by X authority" sticker at least.
Has anyone had this experience?
