Kinda related to RandomActsOfCards.... but I've been getting random packages from Amazon over the past 4-5 months and it's frustrating it's related to RandomActsOfCards because that's where I send my address out. I would get a PO Box but I just can't afford it. I can give out my school address but that changes every year, plus I don't move in for another month :// (p.s. if anyone has my old school address [Worcester Hall], definitely don't send things there!).
Basically the backstory is that for the past several months I've been getting random packages from someone. I have no idea who the sender is, but Amazon told me her first name and the package that came today had an invoice with her full name on it. Every single one of these packages has my full address on it and it indeed is addressed to me.... and my full name, which I don't give out all of the time either. I've given out my address countless times for amazing offers or exchanges (or return addressing for international mail) and I'm pretty concerned at this point because it's boggling me that I have no idea who the hell it is.
I have called Amazon each time I received a package to notify them about this. Long story short, they haven't been much help and can't block the sender from sending me packages (Why? Because "we can't distinguish whether they are doing it for good or for bad").
I have no idea what to do. My s/o says I should stop giving my address out.... but I don't want to miss out on such amazing mail and opportunities to make friends. He says that the problem is because I gave my address in the first place, (big ouch... but I understand it is dangerous...) so I should stop from here on out. I am so torn over this.
