My friends… Y’all have given me so much purpose and happiness, in both requests and offers and everything in between.

My chronic pain and medical problems prevented me from continuing my favorites hobbies over three years ago - things like running, working full time, hiking regularly - and I have struggled so hard to find something that keeps my hands and head busy and my heart happy. Finding this subreddit has changed my life for the very positive, even though I’ve only been here a few months. Card making is now my favorite pastime, and I spend hours on personalizing every card to suit each individual’s interest (I even wrote a mini book and turned it into a “book card” for someone!). I feel like I’m back to the regular me when I’m making cards. ☺️

I have forged so many delightful friendships, I have introduced two separate friends to the community, and I have made over 75 cards. RAOC makes me feel connected to likeminded, cheery people. It’s like we’re old friends and have been sending each other mail for years.
