Excuses, excuses. Screw you, COVID!
Post Body

If I promised you happy mail & you havenā€™t received it yet, I just wanted to let you know that I havenā€™t forgotten about you! I might have even said to some of you, ā€œYour card is ready!ā€ I never had the chance to send out anything although many envelopes were ready to go & just needed to be weighed. Iā€™ve been with my poor dad in the hospital since last week. He caught COVID for the second time in 8 months which caused massive, scary neurological issues so I had to rush him to the ER. Serious cognitive issues. Terrifying. I lit up earlier this week when I thought I could maybe quickly run to the post office to mail stuff/the house to grab my mail scale/RAoC mail for the first time while my dad was in a procedure but it had to flippinā€™ ice over in the south, where we canā€™t even walk in icy weather, let alone drive in it. I didn't even know until I looked out the window (see my wimpy ice pic - it's not even cool snow to make snowmen). So Iā€™ve been trapped at the hospital ever since & I'm not sure when we'll get to leave. If I promised you anything, itā€™ll be sent - just delayed. And if you sent me happy mail recently, I haven't seen it but will definitely thank you asap. I canā€™t wait to check the mail! Truly, the only bright light for me during this crazy time has been RAoC. I would bawl my eyes out one minute seeing my dad suffering but minutes later, the sub would bring me comfort. Thanks to all of you for sending endless positive energy to everyone without regard to whether itā€™s a friend or stranger!!! :)
