I'm wondering if I am screwed. A while ago I was given the top part of a DCN (model 162) because it wasn't needed anymore. I took it and have been using it basically upside down with the base being open to a blanket on the floor. It didn't have a proper top, it had the middle connecting shelf. I rigged one of the ramps to the opening with twist ties to make it an enclosed top.

I recently purchased a single critter nation (model 161) and I thought I'd be able to put the 162 pieces I have on top of it it but I just now tried to start that process and realized the pieces don't quite go together. For example when I try to do step 9 of the 162 instructions, it doesn't work because there isn't a hole to latch the door into. Hope that makes sense.

I'm going to keep trying to figure it out but if anyone has done this I would love advice. TIA.

Update: I think I see how to do it, though it's different from the instructions I found online. Looks like it will work best with two people so I'm waiting for my partner to get home. I
