Rats are hoarding majority of their food. Should I be concerned about them not eating enough?

Post Body

So I realized recently that my three girls have been going through a lot more food lately. Or rather, their dishes have emptied a lot faster. What normally lasted them a few days is now gone in a few hours, because they’ve been stockpiling it in the corner of their cage (they’d emptied of their litter trays that they’d never actually bothered to use, and filled it with almost 3 cups of food).

They’ve always stored some food, but I’ve never seen this much. I’m assuming that this is because winter is approaching and instincts to store food are kicking in, so I’m wondering how often should I be refilling their food dishes when the majority of it is being stored away. Will they still eat from their stockpiles, or should I be concerned they aren’t eating enough? Can I wait a few days between filling their food dish as long as they have access to food in their hoards?

Every few days I do give them a liquid meal (baby food) and fresh fruit/vegetables, which is eaten instead of hoarded, but most of their diet is the rat food that they are now hoarding.
