So I found this baby mouse at work and I'm not sure what to do about it, my bosses want me to take it outside and release it but I'm not sure it will survive. I would like to take it home but I'm not sure what to do in this situation.

For context I just recently got two Lab rats as pet from my University, so I'm very new when it comes to rodents, these lab rats are generally calmer and more gentle than normal rats. I know rats and mice can't coexist in a cage together, but is there any way that I can teach them to?

If anyone has any suggestions too I'm all ears.
