I noticed today that one of my rats is holding his back leg up rather than walking on it, I can't see any obvious signs of damage and he is mostly behaving normally, although he isn't running around as much as usual. He is still managing to climb up to the hammock at the top of his cage but he squeaks now and again making me think that his leg is causing him pain.
I don't know what could have happened, he was fine last night.
Is there anything I can do for him until I can get him to a vet?
Edit: Picture, sorry, he's a wriggler so I couldn't keep him still properly.
