So.. feel free to take the moral high ground here (don’t care about your judgement)
I have found myself in a bit of a situation. I’ve been seeing and sleeping with a married woman, for a few months now.
At first I didn’t think much would eventuate but it has. We both have really deep feelings for each other. This is still the ongoing theme.
Anyway, things have been really rough lately as we are barred by times of communication. We can only talk from 9-5, as that’s when she’s at work. This communication and visitation barrier has made things worse.
Her husband checks her phone and she has been caught talking to me. Now we can no longer talk at night.
Her husband is an alcoholic who hits her (even prior to me knowing her. It’s been happening for years)
He had married the woman, overseas. He does not have permanent residency status in Australia. He is obviously not a citizen.
He has openly said, he only married her for residency. He does not intend to stay with her after this.
They stay at the woman’s home, as she has parents that need support. She is the provider in the household. The husband has a gambling addiction and never has any money. Her husband is also abusive towards to woman’s parents.
The husband has also called me and threatened me with physical harm many times.
To cut to the chase, should I report him to the police for domestic violence and for engaging into a sham marriage?
The marriage (to my understanding) is not recognised legally in Australia.
I fear I’m simply doing this for my own agenda, but a part of me is also wanting to do it for the greater good of the community.
Feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks
