I'm here hoping to have more male friends I can talk to about personal stuff and hang out with, with or without clothes (but purely platonic). I'm looking for genuine friendships, and this post is a bit lengthy because I'm hoping to connect with people who have things in common with me.
I love road trips and hoping to go on a few over the next few months. I'd like to drive up the coast and check out Coffs Harbour and Byron Bay some time. I've just returned from a road trip to Brisbane and Gold Coast with my housemate (someone I actually met through Reddit who is now one of my best friends) to see Hamilton and check out the theme parks, and some time in winter when it's a bit colder I'd like to go back to Lightning Ridge, which has a naturally heated bore bath that's amazing to sit in when it's cold out. But also keen to see snow in Australia for the first time (I'm another Brit who's made the move down under).
When it's not raining, I like days at the nude beach or hiking. I want to do some more snorkelling and get better at swimming. I have a list of trails I want to hike to swim holes and waterfalls - mainly for trashy photo opportunities, but also for the beautiful scenery. I spend a lot of my time at home naked too. I'm also trying to get back into cycling; I've recently bought a new bike but haven't put it to good use at all, so having some friends to do that with would really help motivate me. However, as a healthcare worker I'm often quite busy with work-related stuff or just blindly procrastinating (procrasturbating?) my time at home away.
Home activities include gaming (GTA, Wipeout, Mario Kart), sci-fi (Star Trek, For All Mankind, The Orville but also The Expanse and BSG previously) and other movies on Netflix that look interesting. I started playing Breath of the Wild recently and will try to work my way through that over the next few months, and then after that will be Final Fantasy VII Remake.
I don't drink or smoke, but that shouldn't necessarily be a reason for you to avoid saying hello. I'm pretty keen to keep things platonic, as mentioned above, and I like to use WhatsApp or Messenger to talk to my friends and like to try and shift conversations here onto one of those platforms pretty early on if we get along. Despite how this post may sound, I'm quite the shy guy and much prefer quality connections over multiple. If you're someone who prefers the company of one or two, then we might get along well. So if you made it to the end and something's piqued your interest, say hey!
