I always sort of dread this time of year. I get excited about all the decorating but once it’s done, there’s not much to look forward to. Although this year hasn’t been as bad as I anticipated, there’s no doubt it would be better with someone.
To make matters worse, I ended a situationship a few months ago that had gone on for far too long because I figured I deserved better. Since then, it hasn’t been any better though. I’ve been on a couple first dates, but swore off dating apps and deleted all my profiles out of frustration because I wasn’t getting the right kind of attention.
So the boredom brought me here. First, just for entertainment. Now, out of curiosity. Wondering if there’s someone interesting to perhaps brighten the day or however long it may last. I’m 100% single, never married, no kids, college educated and professionally employed, with a good sense of humor. I’m not really into hiking, don’t have a dog, and while I love tv, have never watched Game of Thrones (feel free to insert the title of the newest show everyone’s watching and I’ve still probably never seen it). I’m definitely more of an introvert but do enjoy talking to people and figuring out what makes them tick.
I’m black, curvy/thick, and content and confident in who I am. I’m hoping to meet someone intelligent and funny who has his life together and is ready, willing, and able to let someone else in. I do have a weakness for white guys who are not afraid to talk to me. I work from home so my social skills might be a little rusty, but I’m getting tired of going out alone.
