Hi.
Iām 44, female, single, no kids, one cat, and I live in Washington, DC. Iām open to moving but would prefer to welcome someone to my life here, if someoneās so inclined.
Iām going to frame this post a bit differently than I usually do. Iām going to lead with my āstrengths,ā as revealed to me in a Strengths Finder test I took for $19 in pursuit of a new career.
My first strength is Input. I like to collect data. I made a spreadsheet of every vaped/combusted bowl of weed I consumed for 8 months (and learned a hell of a lot about my consumption in the process). I keep track of my focusmate sessions, marking the category, whether itās 25 or 50 minutes, date, day, time, what I intended to work on, the rating on a scale of 1-10 down to the .5, and what I actually did. Iāve been doing this for 13 months and have over 450 sessions recorded.
My second strength is Intellection. I like smart people. I like to use 50-cent words. I like to listen to people nerd out about what they are into ā be it the Beatlesā lost record to copyright law to tech talk that makes my brain cramp ā I love all of it. Except when my dad does it.
My third strength is Learner, which is less compelling than it sounds. It talks about the act of learning ā and, in my experience, that doesnāt mean understanding and being able to implement said learning. But we can get into that another time.
My last two, Adaptability and Connectedness, are kind of cheats. I know where they come from, they come from my spiritual beliefs that the universe has some rhyme or reason behind it. I believe in auspicious coincidence showing the way down the right path. However, I am not the kind of person who can adapt immediately to events coming at me fast and furious. My adaptability is.... slower in nature.
As for Connectedness? The book says to be a counselor or someone who emphasizes links. I get why it pegged me as this, but jfc, it doesnāt help me with a career. I donāt really like people, so putting me in a career where I have to deal with them on a regular basis doesnāt seem like sage advice.
So, those are 5 āstrengthsā of mine. Seeing how Iām not about the physical but the mental connection, Iāll just briefly outline that Iām 5ā tall, BBW, brown hair, brown eyes, and I wear jeans and t-shirts 99% of the time.
Send me a private message about your own strengths, and letās see if we want to talk.
