I swear… I just wrote the most heartfelt, genuine post ever—and then poof—I deleted it. So, here we go again. I’m a pretty decent guy, if I do say so myself. Divorced and putting myself back out there, trying to figure out what this next chapter looks like.

A little about me: I’m 5’8”, brown hair, glasses, and some facial hair that’s slowly turning white. A little extra dad bod that’s steadily shaping into something other than round. I’m not perfect by any means, but I work on myself daily, always aiming to be a better man and leave things better than I found them. I love to laugh and be goofy, but I also know when to be serious. My love languages? Quality time, words of affirmation, and physical touch.

I’m just North of Jacksonville, FL and South of Savannah, GA but I’m open to something “long distance” within a couple of hours—if you’re up for it. Life is stressful enough, and I don’t want to add to that.

Things I enjoy: * Watching sports (since my knees retired me from playing). Air hockey and pinball might count as sports, right? * Attending live events—baseball, football, hockey. Bonus points if you look good in a jersey because, let’s be honest, I’ll be paying more attention to you than the game. * My son—my greatest achievement and biggest priority. If you have kids, I’d expect nothing less from you. If not, that’s okay—just be someone who finds joy in their laughter. * Sharing memes and music, because sometimes a song or a well-timed GIF says everything. * Doing something spontaneous—taking a cruise, a random road trip, or even crashing a wedding just for the fun of it.

What I’m looking for: Someone genuine and kind. Open to communication. Quick to listen and slow to judge. Able to laugh at the ridiculous parts of life and comfortable enough to cry if you need to. A partner who isn’t afraid to talk about the tough stuff and who values mutual respect. A balanced blend of self-sufficiency and dependence. You know how to enjoy yourself whether it be a night in or a night out. You like your steak medium rare, love thin mint Girl Scout cookies and talk a little dirty 🫣.

I was raised in religion but don’t practice like I probably should. I respect all beliefs and love deep, thoughtful conversations. Politically? I’ve voted both red and blue and won’t judge you for whatever color you lean toward. We’re all in this together, right?

I love the excitement of new relationships, but I want that energy to last. And if the spark fades? Let’s talk about it and reignite it together. I’m searching for my person—however long she’s meant to be in my life. Maybe we’re meant to teach each other how to smile again, to show one another the respect we deserve, to handle each other’s hearts with care.

My thumbs are tired, so here’s your first challenge: Help me swap out these melancholy songs on my Spotify for something we can belt out in the car together on a road trip to see the worlds biggest ball of yarn or to stay in an Airbnb inside a train car.
