I think love is vision. Seeing someone or something so clearly with any judgment or preconceptions - not trying to fix or change or see into the future, or repair one's past. Just seeing so fucking clearly that the truth it emanates is like a blinding light. So in a way, love is truth. I seek truth.

I don't jive much with that romantic love. It feels like a bit of an illusion and I want truth! And it takes a whole hell of a lot of ego smashing to be able to look that truth in the eyes without flinching. Without turning away and running for the hills. Gimme that truth!

Well what the fuck does this nebulous rambling even mean? Well I'm someone who's died a few times in the search of "self" only to realize I never really existed in the first place. Translation: I was really full of shit and it took years of banging my head against the wall in grandiose cycles of self destruction and subsequent rebirth to realize this.

I do know that I like helping people and animals and working with plants. I am a healer, poet, gentle weirdo, ball of goof, music maker, music afficionado, reader of the Beats and classics, film lover, gardener, spiritual warrior, herbalist, and above all else orioles fan. I enjoy my peace and stillness but when I find someone willing to engage in topics that light my heart on fire, I cannot stop talking.

I enjoy life and I try to celebrate each day fully. I am happy with the person I am - even if I'm operating at like 5% and feeling like absolute dogshit (it happens!). I'm not an ambitious person per se, but I have big dreams and would like someone whose dreams run parallel with my vision of what I'd like to create for the future.

My dream is to someday start a nonprofit farm that grows food for folks in need and rescues animals - amongst other things: arts initiatives/events, concerts, workshops, healing arts services. Whatever tickles my fancy. I believe in community and I believe the only way out of this jam we're all in is if we just help eachother out (and help ourselves out as well). I seek someone who has a similar or compatible vision of the world and what they'd like to do.

I express myself and my love through poetry, song, simple gestures, tending to plants and animals, and through the peace I cultivate. I dig kindness, gentleness, standing up/caring for those who may not have a voice or be able to take of themselves, and a good sense of humor. I believe we shouldn't take ourselves too seriously but I do take life very seriously.
