Post Body

I just read a post that inspired me to make this (you know who you are - thanks for sharing :-). This isn’t well thought out and I’m just winging it but hopefully it can get some conversations going. Not sure if this would be a meta post, is that still a thing?

The post was about the ever-present frustrating issue a lot of us face here on these r4r subs: absolutely wanting and needing our space, yet absolutely wanting and needing to share space with others.

We’re relational and need others. Yet we’re living in very individualized, fast-pace, virtual times (has it almost been 30 yrs since Jamiroquai warned us??) and its the easiest to connect yet hardest to really connect. Like, go more than a day or two w/o it fizzling out. Or worst, get ghosted after making what seemed like a really good connection for i.e. a month or two, being vulnerable and sharing intimate details (that’s horrible).

The point of this post: what is compatibility? What is livability? Who are you? What are your interests/disinterests? Pet peeves? Non-negotiables? What do you absolutely need in a friend or partnership? What would you like but don’t absolutely need? Let’s talk about it. List it all out in the comments, get some convos going and see who you connect with. Be detailed. Do you want/need too much? Too little? Too many boundaries? Not enough? Find out. Be objective and don’t take it personal. Let’s help each other connect.
