A couple of things I’d like to mention at the start.

First, I am a fat chick…

For those of you still reading…Fat does not mean lazy, unhealthy, or weak. I am none of these. For me, there are some gut-health issues I recently discovered that contribute and I am addressing them, so please leave your antiquated judgments at the door. No one has time for them, least of all myself (besides, I guarantee I’ve heard it).

Second, I am demisexual and sapiosexual. This is not a fancy way of saying “no sex” (I’m very sexual, in fact) but rather it’s the hot new “label” the kids are using that means (get this, it’s a doozy)… I like to get to know you and develop a connection for me to have any true sexual attraction. And that takes more than 2 dates, let’s be realistic. Oh, and I find intelligence a turn on. Just having “looks” doesn’t do it for me. A novel concept, right?

Okay, now that’s out of the way…

This isn’t my first rodeo when it comes to posting on Reddit. I lean towards writing a lot since I am, well, a writer. However, in my experience, very few actually read what I’m writing, let alone thoroughly, so I’ll make a list to make it a bit more digestible:

Me: * I am demisexual and sapiosexual. It’s worth repeating. * I like working with my hands: jewelry making, woodworking, leatherworking, ceramics, medicinal, herb tinctures, cooking, gardening… * I like to explore: national parks, new food, different countries, a new biking trail, museums, interesting conversations… * I have a very curious and open mind. About everything. * I’m a fastpitch softball coach for an 18u gold elite team. (this mostly means my time is not always my own). * I like to read. A lot. Everything from Romantasy to Nietzsche. * I meditate and do yoga * Community, family and relationships are far more important to me than material goods * Spirituality is important to me - my spirituality and faith is a mishmash of the number of things. More on that if you’re curious. * Politically middle of the road leaning liberal. I will be voting for Harris. * I want kids and a small Homestead in the semi-near future (next 5 years) * Gainfully employed in a creative job at a government contractor. Financially independent with investments, 401(k), and all of the adulting stuff * No baggage, drama free, emotionally stable, very independent and autonomous * Huge fan of snuggling and blanket forts.

You: * Must be local (DC Metro area) * Must be single. Not in the process of a divorce, not looking around discreetly, not Poly… Plain old, single. * Must be over 30. Yes, I mean it. * Must be: either liberal or politically moderate, want kids/Homestead, have a curious mind and thirst for exploration * Prefer if: You’re handy. Likes to fix things, tinker, make stuff, etc.. * Prefer if: you’re not shy, you have confidence and approach life with tenacity. I am similar. * Bonus: I hesitate to say this because I’m afraid it will be a cat call for all the horny Joe’s out there… but fuck it. I want a southern gentleman in the streets, and a shadow daddy between the sheets (yeah, you should urban dictionary that). I might be demisexual and sapiosexual, but I’m not an effing nun.

If you think you’ll fly under the radar with my “must be” list, you won’t. There’s a reason they are “musts”. Again, not my first rodeo.
