...but whatever happened to Geena Davis?! Well, I suppose I can Google it up once I finish writing this, if I remember. Remind me?
Anyway, 90s movie references aside, I just thought I’d give this another shot. I work from home and don't have a lot of opportunities right now to meet and make new friends.
I’m an introvert but I like getting to know people so if we get to talking, expect that I’d be interested to learn about your stories and see the world from your perspective. You don’t even need to have a particularly exciting life full of adventure, as I think there is wonder hidden even in our mundane, everyday, boring routines. Yeah, I always try to be optimistic, the operative word being “try”.
So, a few things about me: I’m stuck in the city now, but my long-term goal is to move somewhere closer to either mountains or beaches rather than the concrete jungle. I like dogs and cats and rainy days. I have strong opinions about a lot of social and political issues, although I’m not looking to talk about politics too much. But still, if you’re a right-wing fanatic or just plain apathetic, I don’t think we’ll get along.
I’m single and just got out of a semi-long term relationship, no kids and I don't want any, never been married. I’m not actively looking for anything romantic, not looking to change your life or mine, but hey, I’m not closing any doors either.
About you: I’m open to talking with anyone, although it would be more interesting if you’re at least 30. Also, I know I said I’m just looking for friends, but you know sometimes when you vibe with someone a lot and the loneliness kicks in, one feels things that one shouldn’t! So I would prefer it if you're single, emotionally available, and no longer hung up on your ex (lol).
And oh, just be decent and kind and capable of more than just “hi” and “hey”. That’s not such a big ask... I hope? Talk to you soon.
