Looking for someone who’s interested in genuine friendship and a long-term relationship, has shared interests and values and wants to spend time doing things together and be just as comfortable doing nothing together whether we’re in each other’s embrace or sitting back-to-back on the floor reading our favorite books.

I enjoy the pleasures that life brings meaning I like doing a variety of things. For starters I enjoy outdoorsy things like hiking, camping and cycling, as well as mundane things like walking along a city pedestrian path and cycling to the grocery store to do some shopping for dinner. I enjoy cooking, especially for others, trying out new recipes I’ve discovered and pairing them with a good wine. I also enjoy being at home with my tablet or on my computer watching documentaries, listening to podcasts, reading, and catching up on the day’s news. I am left-leaning, open-minded and sensitive when it comes to hot-button issues. I live by example when it comes to the environment, support environmental and social justice causes, and volunteer for good causes whenever I can.

What else…I’m tall over 6’ and slim, an ambivert, hopeless romantic. I prefer meaningful conversations. I’m not a jokester nor do I normally play video games, but I can sometimes act silly and enjoy playing a game or two when there’s a player 2 around. I’ve come to enjoy modern board and card games, as well as the comradery with others while playing them.

I’ve also suffered from life’s mishaps. I’m divorced with no kids and am undergoing a career change. I realize that nobody’s perfect so if there’s a couple of dings on your life résumé I won’t hold them against you as long as you’re a sane person.

Just don’t be weird, clingy, aloof, passive aggressive, abusive, expect more than what’s reasonable, a gold digger, or start texting me with “dear” or “babe” or “darling” or use 😘 or 💋 when we’ve only just become acquainted. I love pizza but don’t ask me to send you a pizza 🍕. I’d rather you tell me that you need to go to the toilet than just disappear or tell me that you’re on the throne while chatting with me. I’d also rather you tell me you think we don’t click or there was something I said that crossed the line than ghost me👻. Catfishers 🎣 need not apply. Believe me when I say that it’s not just women who’ve had bad to f*cked up online encounters with men. I can’t make this stuff up.
