Hello everyone!  Divorced, Father of 2 from Maryland who is looking for someone to share his passions with. Long talks and deep dives, trying new food, enjoying a hike in the woods, and road trips in the summer. I have a relatively empty passport that is begging to be filled and I would love to find someone who wants to explore the world with me.

I work in education. I am a child of the 80s/90s, loves a wide array of music from New Wave and Grunge to Hair Metal, Alt, and Indie. An unabashed nerd/geek. D&D, classic Star Wars, Legos, Comic Books, good reads from The Once And Future King to Martin’s ASOIAF, a dabble of Anime, Saturday morning cartoons, and cereal with marshmallows…  

Beyond the 80s pop culture references and nerd speak I do also enjoy the outdoors, DIY projects, thrifting/antiquing, visiting museums, attending concerts, and hitting all of the odd ball roadside attractions.

I’m 6’1, dad bod (work in progress), Spiritual but not religious, Center/Left leaning politically (Maga need NOT apply). I speak in dad jokes and nerd, I’m sorry my college German is very rusty. My kids (older teenagers) are my world, I also have 2 dogs and a cat.  

I miss being in a relationship, the good mornings, the soft touch, a simple kiss, and that smile when we first see each other after a long day….

Things I am looking for:

Status – Single / Separated / Divorced.  I know its hip and trendy but no ENM or Poly, I know what I want and its monogamy.  

Location - Please be local / near to the Baltimore Metro Area in MD or Southern PA adjacent.  While I am not opposed to pen-pals that is not the intention of this post.

Children – If you have yours then more the merrier, we can Brady Bunch it or Step By Step it lol. My two are at the tail end of High School with college in the near future. I will note that at this stage of life I really am not looking to create any new bundles of joy though.

Politics – I’m independent and swing Center/Left. Just as long as you are not a MAGA hat wearer, I think we’ll be ok.

Religion – I’m Spiritual/agnostic and am not looking to change. I do respect others faiths and ask that my views are also respected.  I have no problem if you have your faith and I will even attend with you if you want but I am not looking to change my beliefs and do not want to be pressured or proselytized to join.  

Vices – Social Drinking AOK, Cigarettes – Hard pass, 420 friendly in a once in a while type thing (I prefer edibles). If pot is part of your daily ritual, then please move along. Note I do smoke a cigar from time to time.

Health – I have a dad bod that I am working on. I am by no means a Dionysus but I am no Mike Myers “Fat Bastard” either. I run when I can and want to work out more. The past two years have had its ups and downs post-divorce and things are finally settling down. I am looking for someone who takes care of themselves but I also understand that life loves curve balls. Please be mental health positive. If you do not agree with therapy…. Again please move along.
