Trying again! I’m a dad in my mid 40s. Feels weird how that just snuck up on me like it did. I like to stay active. I am THAT middle aged (old?!) guy you see riding around your neighborhood on a skateboard. No, I have no pretense that I look cool (none at all. haha) just willing to try anything to get my girls off their cell phones and out of the house.

I enjoy doing creative things (writing, drawing, woodworking...) though lately I find myself lacking inspiration. My shop is a mess and I can barely draw up the energy to work on it lately. Winter Blues? I dunno. Maybe. I’m kinda hoping to re-spark some of that inspiration through some interesting conversations. I miss that feeling of waking up and seeing a notification and knowing that there was someone out there who gave a frak about you. (That’s a sci-fi reference for ya.) I miss the sexy banter that makes you smile.

I love to tinker when I can find some time. My favorite t-shirt says “Sawdust is Man Glitter.” Admittedly, I need a new one as I got wood glue on it a few projects ago and it's now been relegated by my girls to a "house shirt." Do y'all have house shirts?

I have my own company, and work behind a desk most of my days so I have time to pop in and see some of your stories. I would love to lend an ear (pair of eyes?) to anyone and maybe share some downtime with someone. I'm married, so not looking for romantic entanglements but being completely candid, I have learned that I don’t shy from flirtatious conversation and enjoy sexy banter. Maybe it’s the hispanic blood in me? I’m not looking to cheat, but I am a man and unapologetic about that. I look, my wife doesn’t see harm in that. If turned on, my wife reaps the benefit just as I do when she has a likewise day. Just trying to make the day more bearable. Hopefully that doesn’t make me too much of a jerk in people’s eyes, just trying to be as upfront as possible to avoid misunderstandings.

I would love to create a friendship that lasts more than a few days. Create a connection where you feel valued and I in kind, a place where you can be yourself, whatever version of yourself that is. Please be an adult and be able to act like one. If you have ever ghosted someone, or if your idea of a conversation is letting the other person do all the work please do us both a favor and don't message me.

Your interests don’t have to be my interest as long as you can write about yours and tell me what you like about them. Teach me something and I’ll do my very best to return the effort. “How are you?” and “I'm good, and you?” conversations get old very fast. I like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but a one sentence, or a one word message is likely to be ignored. As I mentioned before, a good or bad impression is in the effort made.
