Hello.

I feel guilty for my lack of participation on Reddit, let alone this group. I have Reddit on my office laptop in my house and right now I have not been in the office, and when I am, I am offic-ing.

I have posted a couple of times, and like the song says "The Wanting Comes in Waves". I get a flurry of people and span, the conversation dies off and I find myself drifting from Reddit.

So please forgive my silence. I am here, I am real and I am interested. I am a 45-year-old 5'9 childfree dadbod weirdo living in northern California. I am an agnostic, atheist, leftist progressive non-smoker. I have a congenital condition that makes drinking less fun for me.

I am 45 years old, I enjoy the typical nerd stuff, but I am pretty much a goth and have been since I was a kid. Musical tastes, clubs, favorite dates, etc. I am into the outdoors, but I think hiking should be called "death marching". I love film, filmmaking, and screenwriting.

My hobbies include writing, cooking, camping, road trips, reading, music, film and filmmaking, archery, equestrian sports, metalwork, tabletop RPGs and I recently got into video games. I listen to goth industrial music, metal, folk, and weird stuff. I am even learning to accept that there is hip hop and some rap that makes me not want to shoot myself with a nail gun. I tend to talk in weird voices and create skits with friends and partners. I am not afraid of the weird.

I am looking for someone who lives near me, wants a long-term relationship, nonsmoker, passed the party phase, and please no drugs or heavy drinking. I am child-free but will make an exception if your kid doesn't torture cats or is out of the nest. I am looking for an eventual nesting partner.

Here is the caveat: I am looking to move out of the US and I am hoping for someone with similar aspirations. I work in law but moonlight as a screenwriter. I do not date outside my political spectrum. Please feel free to message me and I will give a picture of a non-Richard Nixon variety.
