Hi,

I’m 46, female, single, no kids, one cat, and I live in Washington, DC. I’m 5’, BBW, with brown hair and brown eyes. I dress kind of cute and my nails are always done but I don’t invest a lot of time in how I look. It’s not important to me.

What is important? That’s… something I’m trying to figure out right now. I guess what I’m looking for is someone interested in discovering those things with me. I want to get to know someone, and see if we’re compatible, and if we want to have a future together.

What does that future look like? While it could go many ways, here a couple I see:

1. I don’t find anyone at all, in which case I have to foot the bill of retirement alone.
2. I find my destined love and we ride off into our sunset.
3. I Golden Girls it up with a person or two and we help each other age not-alone.

You may be wondering what you’re getting yourself into with #s 2 or 3, so let me tell you a little about myself. At present, I work in digital marketing for the environmentalists but I seek to change that in 2025ish. I have some skills that need to be built up first, and I need to re-learn how to work, so it’s going to be a bit until I can transition. In the meantime, my job supports my lifestyle sufficiently.

I smoke/vape/dab/consume cannabis and own a discord server for stoners 30 and older. Right now, most of my non-work (and even some work) time is spent on the server on voicechat, hanging out in what some equate to be a virtual weed bar akin to Cheers. I enjoy it, and fortunately I’ve now got a staff to keep an eye out while I ease back and focus on things like career and self-care.

I’m also really into movies and books, particularly scifi. I was out of watching and reading for many years and still go in spurts now but I bet I can beat you in 6 degrees of any actor to another. Or at least give you a run for your money.

Things I don’t like: travel and the outdoors. So if you’re looking for a travel or hiking buddy, I’m not for you.

Perhaps the biggest red flag about me is that my experience with relationships is very limited. I was just never interested in pursuing a relationship before now and, honestly, what’s really prompting me is the yawning vacuum of a future I see if I don’t have people to split the cost of retirement with.

That brings us to option #3: I am open to a platonic relationship partner for old age. I’m even up for a couple to make things easier, we’ll have a grand old time! I’m not wealthy but I will be able to financially support myself, so I’m not looking to mooch off someone. I expect you to do the same.

Maybe this is all comes off a bit unromantic, but I’m not really a romantic kind of person, and you should know that up front. Perhaps it’s the lack of relationships in my past but I’m not looking for gooey affection — I want some solid relationships and security for my future. If I find The One, then great, but I won’t be heartbroken if I don’t.
