Hello there,
My name's Todd. Been single for a few years now and am ready to resume my quest for the love of my life. I've never been married, don't have any kids, but would like to get married and have kids with the right partner. I'd like to think I've got a good head on my shoulders as I close in on the last arc of my PhD journey and get ready to write my dissertation. I'm in good shape, am fairly tall (6'1"), I like to open doors for ladies, and consider myself a gentleman. Oh, and here's me!
As the title states, I'm an academic by nature, generally positive, optimistic, and intellectually curious. For the sake of brevity, I'll try and keep this reasonably brief and just focus on some introductory details (although I'm happy to answer any questions, I'm an open book). I have an office job with regular hours. Some of my interests include reading and writing (I was an English major and my favorite book is the Count of Monte Cristo for example), video and board games, history, astronomy, fan of sci-fi in general...my favorite movie is The Shawshank Redemption. I'm generally just as comfortable going out as I am staying in, although I do tend to favor staying in these days.
As far as values, I place a great deal of importance in: respect, affection, patience, understanding, honesty, and loyalty. As for a partner, I don't really have a type per se. I don't really know who I'm going to be attracted to until I meet and talk to her. Close to my age is preferable, but again I'm pretty open-minded about my partner so age isn't something I'm too picky about (within reason). So, If I sound interesting, feel free to reach out and we can see if there's chemistry. Obviously, I'd prefer to meet someone in the area or close to South Florida but when it comes to love or soulmates, distance is a solvable problem. Chat or pms are fine - I look forward to hearing from you!
