Hello,

I am looking for a partner who can match my energy, effort, and thoughtfulness in our lives together. I want to wake up and think to myself "she is too good for me" and make sure that I remind her of that often. Above all, I am looking for someone who is emotionally available, caring, communicative, and capable of giving AND receiving love.

The basics! My family lives on the East Coast but I am in California. I am an aerospace engineer at an exciting start-up - change of pace from my past experience at some large aerospace companies. I am very ambitious about my field of study and my line of work. Don't even get me started on it. I will never shut up. haha.

Other things you might want to know are:

1. I enjoy traveling - domestic and international. I enjoy meeting new people, learning about other cultures and languages, trying out local foods, etc. I believe that it helps me get a new perspective on everyday things we might take for granted otherwise.
2. Nature is my crack. I tend to be spontaneous, active, and I am always on the go. Anything involving outdoors, i.e. hiking, camping, backpacking, etc. My recent adventures include campervanning in New Zealand for two weeks with a toddler, backpacking to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, chasing the Aurora Borealis in Alaska, getting my paragliding license, various spontaneous road-trips to many national parks for camping, canoeing, stargazing, and tons of hiking - absolutely amazing experiences!!! It would be great if you are the get-up-and-go type.
3. Dad jokes!?!? I have a rather witty, sarcastic, and silly sense of humor and it is a major plus if you do as well. If we can make each other laugh, life will be great. I will make you roll your eyes so hard, they will get stuck at the back of your head.
4. I have my ish together! mentally, fiscally, emotionally, and professionally... and I hope that you do as well! I'm comfortable in my skin and with who and what I am, while I continue to improve myself.
5. I consider myself to be a problem solver. I am analytical and strategic in the way I think about life in general. I like to build things in my free time - all the way from carpentry to electrical work to elegant computer code. I enjoy reading non-fiction - mostly things related to human behavior, sociology, and psychology. I like to think about how people think.
6. I am unapologetically and religiously non-religious. If I were to put a label on my belief system, I would consider myself a Saganist. hahaha. If you know who Carl Sagan is, you get a million points.
7. I have gone through a failed marriage but that has not diminished my confidence or pursuit of love. I believe that every failure is a valuable learning experience and an opportunity for personal growth and self-improvement.
8. I have an awesome 3 year old son and I love love LOVE being a father to him. We learn new things from each other everyday! And no, I don't expect you to 'fill in' a mother's role. He has a mother with whom I am co-parenting. However, it will be great if you like kids and can become a kid when you are around them. :) I'm definitely open to more kids. Either existing ones or if we'll need to make brand new ones.
9. The beard comes and goes every three months or so... but that pattern is negotiable. :p
10. I love listening to people talk about what they are passionate about in life. Let me see the way your eyes light up when you nerd out about your favorite niche topic!
11. I actually enjoy the seemingly mundane, everyday tasks like cleaning, cooking, dusting, grocery shopping, etc. I find some of these therapeutic. And who doesn't like an uncluttered space, eh?
12. I value growth mindset and self-betterment. I love to consume knowledge from anywhere and everywhere. People, audiobooks, documentaries, all of it!
13. Personal Finances! I find that it is important for long-term romantic partners to be on the same page regarding financial goals and values in life. Pragmatism calls for not shying away from the subject.
14. I like making lists.
