Things you might appreciate knowing about me as somebody you might want to reply and get to know:

• I'm a married man, I have no children. Made a choice to not to father children in my life.
• I'm working on recovering from depression and PTSD. I have mostly good days but the bad days creeps in. Sometimes I can write messages that are worth reading and replying to, sometimes I am less conversational.
• See me around town and you'll see a Starbucks coffee cup in my hand, even in the hot summer days. I drink coffee, 2 sugars and little cream.
• I'm not a social media junkie. My mobile phone is not glued to my hands and I'm not typing and texting all the time. Daytime chats when I am still at work is not going to happen with me. I do not have the Reddit app on the phone anyway.
• I do not talk like others text or tweet. I end my sentences with periods, question marks and exclamation points and not stuff like "lol" or a happy face. It goes without saying that I know how to carry a real conversation.
• Like any Canadian-born guy I'm into football and hockey. Footie and Formula1 are those sports I can stand watching on the tele as well. Forget baseball and basketball.
• I am OK with being called a bit old school. The woke generation are those younger than me, my mind has not wrapped around the new day concepts.
• My Spotify music choices are eclectic, but what we now call classic rock is the "hard rock' or "modern rock" my car radio was always tuned to.
• I'm into wine appreciation. I also enjoy drinking Irish whiskey and I am a novice bartender trying to be that mixologist that is so cool to notice and watch at those real good upscale bars.
• I'm a real and as forthright as they come. I do not screw people around and have glimmers of hope there is something good about this world (and the people living in the world) hoping there is something worth living for.
• My life is not perfect and I have been though a lot. I'm genuine so I've been told and I tend to gravitate toward those sort of people when making friends.
• I was once deep into using Reddit when I was going through the pandemic. I'm not so deep into this site anymore. I actually do not know why I was compelled to come back on here after a while.
