Posted a number of times before and I’m still hoping to find that special someone on Reddit. If the post is still up, then I'm still looking for that special someone.
Tall, bearded, tattooed, and pierced stoic/rational minimalist, living in the UK, with a desire to make the world a better place for everyone. This is me, just in case you're curious? I have recently started shaving my head bald as I like the look and it makes getting ready in the morning that bit easier!
I should point out, early on, that I have had a vasectomy. I’ve never really ever felt the pull to be a father and rather selfishly enjoy having my free time to travel and do what I like, when I like.
Work for a global multinational company as a Learning Specialist, with a focus on enhancing soft skills and promoting workplace inclusivity, particularly regarding neurodiversity.
Travel plays a significant role in my life, and I've been fortunate enough to live abroad as an expat for 15 years, resulting in numerous amazing experiences worldwide. I hold a deep affection for continental Europe, especially its eastern parts such as Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, and Estonia, as I am captivated by their stunning architecture and charming old towns.
For some time now, I have been single, allowing me ample opportunity to reflect on and consider the kind of relationship I desire in an ideal world—how it should feel, look, and progress.
I am seeking a long-term connection with someone, despite the inevitable geographical distance that may exist initially. Given my love for travel and adventure, I am open to getting to know a woman from any location.
Ideally, you would be around my age (though this is not a strict criterion; a strong connection supersedes age for me) and intrigued by what I have shared so far, prompting a desire to delve deeper. I do not have a specific physical preference, as initial attraction is essential, but what truly matters to me is an individual's inner qualities. In my experience, solid relationships often stem from a strong foundation of friendship, upon which they are built.
With this in mind, I hope to find someone who possesses the following qualities:
* Self-awareness and a strong sense of self, acknowledging that personal growth is an ongoing journey rather than a destination.
* Willingness to be vulnerable and allow others to become a part of their life. I am patient and understanding when it comes to this process.
* Affectionate, as I am particularly drawn to displays of affection.
* Empathetic and compassionate not only towards me but also towards others. This broader sense of empathy is something I greatly appreciate in a partner.
* Open-mindedness and curiosity, qualities that I value. Exploring new experiences and venturing into uncharted territories is something I actively seek.
When it comes to music, I predominantly gravitate towards synthwave artists such as The Midnight, Power Glove, FM-84, and New Arcades. I also have a fondness for alternative rock bands like Smashing Pumpkins, Stone Temple Pilots, and They Might Be Giants. Whenever possible, I make it a point to attend festivals, gigs, and concerts, as there is nothing quite like experiencing your favourite songs performed live in a grand arena or an intimate venue.
I am a massive Star Wars enthusiast, fully aware that it may not resonate with everyone and that opinions on Disney's impact vary. Personally, I am grateful for the opportunity to indulge in new Star Wars content on a semi-regular basis. Recently, I thoroughly enjoyed series like The Mandalorian, Visions, Andor, and Obi-Wan, and I hold a deep affection for shows like Clone Wars and Rebels. I am eagerly anticipating the release of Ahsoka in August.
In terms of television and movies, I hold a great appreciation for shows such as The Office, Parks & Rec, Brooklyn 99, Community, among many others. Additionally, I am an avid fan of films like Indiana Jones, Willow, Flash Gordon, and Dune.
Reading is another passion of mine, and this year, I set a personal goal to read 50 books—a target I am currently doing well with, having completed 29 so far. While I used to adore physical books, I find that having a Kindle is much more practical in today's world. I am a sucker for Amazon sales and have amassed a considerable collection of books that should keep me occupied for the next few years, although my inclination to acquire more never seems to diminish.
My political views lean strongly towards the left, and I align myself with progressive ideologies. I typically vote Green, unless there is a collective call to action to prevent right-wing parties from gaining power.
Feel free to drop me a chat or a message. I would appreciate it if you reference something you’ve read and include a picture. Hope to speak soon!
