Disclaimer straight up: I was once deep into using Reddit when I was going through the pandemic. I did the daily messages, made the connection, did a little romantic role play to fill the mind with a little theater for when my connection and I went to sleep. This went on for a good long while. Then it dissolved as it seems most Reddit connections do. I'm past that. I actually do not know why I was compelled to come back on here after a while.

Things to know about me:

• I'm a married man, I have no children. Made a choice to not to father children in my life.
• I am working on recovering from depression and PTSD. Sometimes I can write messages that are worth reading and replying to, sometimes I am less conversational.
• I'm a typical west coast Canadian guy. I walk around with a coffee cup in my hand most days, I am into hockey and football, I do not mind walking in the rain. I moved this way to escape the cold and having to shovel snow almost half the year.
• I am not a social media junkie. My mobile is not glued to my hands I am not typing and texting all the time. I do not talk like I am texting. I know how to carry a real conversation. I do not chat and I do not use the programs others talk off Reddit with, we can PM each other here.
• I am like most people my age and tend to be a bit old school. If you lived in the same city as I did we'd be meeting and talking over coffee rather than messaging here.
• I am not looking to fall in love with but I am open to the feels a connection like this can generate beyond normal everyday banter.
• I am a real and as forthright as they come. I do not screw people around and have glimmers of home there is something good about this world worth living for. My life is not perfect and I have been though a lot. I tend to gravitate toward those sort of people when making friends.
